Rockin’ Reindeer: Dasher Fun Fold
Today’s the last day to shop the Online Extravaganza! Here’s another Christmas card idea using the Many Merry Messages stamp set (see it online). The fold is simple:
- Begin with 4-1/4″ x 11″ card stock, fold in half
- Bring the front edge back to the fold, and you have the “z” fold shown here
Just remember to pay attention to where you add adhesive on your Dasher stamp set panel, so you don’t seal your card shut

Have you played with the Candy Wrapper Die for the Big Shot? Last year I made some quick and cute holiday gifts with this die (check them out) and they were a big hit. (see the die online).
Even more fun? The Many Merry Messages stamp set is a great fit for this project. (see it online) The Snowflake Punch provides a seasonal accent, but you could change it up for any occasion with the Gift Givers stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog (see it online).
The Glimmer Paper comes in handy for all kinds of projects, and hands this little treat the “bling” factor (see it online). Colors here? They’re from the 2011-2013 In Colors: Pool Party and Island Indigo.

Here are a couple of quick “How To” tips for the Candy Wrapper Die:
- Use the Premium Crease Pad (see it online) to be sure to get strong creases, especially when using Designer Series Paper
- Fold along the horizontal and vertical lines first, then fold all the “x” creases at the ends
- Use Sticky Strip to hold the box together. Be sure to assemble the box ‘flat’ (check the Video Tutorial)
- To fold the ends, fold them back and forth as if they’re milk cartons (again, check the Video). Then separate the end and “twist & open”

- When you click on a part of the sale (i.e. 50% off items), towards the right of the screen there is a pulldown menu titled “Show:”. By default, the screen shows 8 items. If you select “ALL” then you’ll be able to see all the items in that category at once — much easier to browse
- Remember that the sale prices MAY NOT be reflected until you click to add an item to your cart. Go ahead and add anything you want to check… you can always remove it later. Or not
- Occasionally jot down the product numbers you’re planning to purchase. The cart will not remember your order if you come back to finish shopping later.
