Sweet & Simple: Vintage Verses Sale-A-Bration Idea
Sometimes it’s the “sweet & simple” cards that you need — like when you’ve just broken your leg and are finding that you suddenly need a lot of cards to thank all the wonderful people in your life who help you out. Just saying
I found this sample in my photos from the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference back in January, shared by Sara Douglass. It uses the gorgeous “thanks” stamp from the Vintage Verses stamp set (see it - 129636).
Love it as much as I do? No problem! You can add this set to your order for free when you pick out $50 in other stampin supplies on your online order.
Be sure to check my blog for more Sale-A-Bration samples and inspiration!
Happy Stamping!

Sweet & Simple Valentine Treats for Class & Friends
More Amore Treats +
Hearts A Flutter Framelits =
I have SO many ideas from the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference in Orlando last week, but there were a couple that jumped out at me. This is the time of year to be thinking of little treats for neighbors and friends, or for school classroom parties, and here’s a sweet & simple treat to make and take!
The steps couldn’t be simpler.
More Amore Valentine Treats
- Snip apart the pre-cut heart paper (makes 32 large hearts per package) (see the paper online – 129309)
- Glue each heart to the front of a flat lollipop
- Choose the “express” solution or the “artisan” version:
- Express: use the Hearts a Flutter Framelits (see them online - 130159) with your Big Shot (see it online – 113439) to cut small hearts from the other pages of paper in the More Amore Designer Paper package
- Artisan: stamp with the Hearts A Flutter stamp set and cut with the framelits from the Hearts A Flutter Bundle (see it online – 131097) – *LOVE* the chevron heart from this stamp set! Finish up with a stamped Valentine greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (see it online – 127802)
Voila! Happy classmates and friends! Can’t you see your coworkers loving this treat? The More Amore Product Suite (see it online) is chock full of fun coordinating pieces for your projects.

Stampin’ Up! Leadership: Wrap-Up
What a whirlwind of a day… wait, do all my Stampin’ Up! event posts start with that line?? Well the great part is that it’s always a wonderful whirlwind of creativity, inspiration and yes, free stamps! This year’s Leadership Conference has been no different.
Here are a few of the highlights from this year’s Leadership:
This is the kick-off for Stampin’ Up!’s 25th year – and I’m excited to be a part of it! The morning started off with a fabulous message from Shelli Gardner about the Statement of the Heart, and how much we all together have allowed Stampin’ Up! to make a difference in the past 25 years.
Then the stamping sessions got underway with a variety of fabulous ideas… you’ll just have to wait for many of them, since I’ll be sharing on my blog over the next couple of weeks! But here’s a teaser taste of some of the beautiful things we saw…. first with the Artisan Embellishments Kit (see it online – 129328):
And then with the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (see it online – 131395):
Then there was the fabulous announcement of the Dude, You’re Welcome Kit (see it online – 132807), which you can order starting today! It’s stamps, an ink pad and manly papers for guys who forget their wives’ birthdays, or who just want brownie points for stamping their own cards!
Then it was the announcement about My Paper Pumpkin (which you can sign up for starting today!!). Here’s more on my blog about that… and at Leadership, we each got to take a 1st month kit and the trial kit home for free!! Think we were excited? Much?
After that was lunch, which is always a relaxing affair at Leadership — think white tablecloths, several courses, and a chance to visit with friends to talk about our impressions of Leadership.
Then that evening we gathered (all 1500 of us!) for a stamping under the stars evening, pajamas required!
For even more fabulous ideas, like this one using the Soda Pop Tops bottlecaps (see them online – 129388) from the Spring Catalog:
Really, how fun is that?? Bottlecap jewelry is so trendy, and with a 1″ circle punch, Crystal Effects and the Soda Pop Tops (smash with your Big Shot), you’re all set!
After stamping, it was time for cookies and milk. Because really, what pajama party is complete without them??
We had a great time gathering with old friends from around the US and Canada, and meeting new friends, too. It’s always a good time when demonstrators gather.
So we’re looking forward to gathering again soon — in St. Louis for the Stampin’ Up! Regional!
If you’d like to join me and my LovenStampfuls team, I’d love to have you there! Be sure to let me know you’re thinking about it. And remember that if you’re loving all these updates about events, YOU can come, too! There is a terrific bonus coming up soon for the New Demonstrator Starter Kit. Drop me a note and I can get you details!!
Want to see more Leadership updates? Here they are…on my blog!

Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2013: Manager’s Reception
Today was the check-in day at the Leadership 2013 conference — a chance to check out the Gathering Place and all kinds of fun project ideas, and then this evening was the Manager’s Reception — at Harry Potter World!
Stampin’ Up! took us to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure for a private evening exploring Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle, and all the Butterbeer we could drink! If you’ve never had it, Butterbeer is a carbonated soda, kind of like butterscotch cream soda, and it’s served with a marshmallowy foamy head. You can pick either frozen, like a slushy, or regular cold. Let’s just say that I tried several samples of each to decide which I liked better!
We rode through Hogwarts castle past giant spiders and dementors, we went to a wand selecting ceremony at Ollivander’s, and we shopped for candy at Honeyduke’s. We even rode the roller coasters — the little Flight of the Hippogriff, and the bigger Dragon Challenge. No lines! A huge thank you to Stampin’ Up! for a fun evening!
Be sure to check my updates from the Leadership Conference this week!

Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2013: Welcome to Orlando
I have to say that one of my favorite places in the world is Disney World. I’m guessing I’m not alone with that — I know my family feels the same way! Thanks to Stampin’ Up! for sending us here back in April. And since we’re here again in Orlando for the Leadership Conference, I wanted to be sure to get at least a small Disney fix.
Downtown Disney, here we come!
So that covers our Disney fix for today — and tomorrow we’re ready for check-in day at Leadership, plus the Manager’s Reception in the evening (at Harry Potter World!).
Be sure to check my updates from the Leadership Conference this week. Keep an eye out!

Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2013: gotta take notes!
Here we are in sunny Orlando for the Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2013 Conference. Wow, gotta love 80 degrees and sunny! Of course the little treats and swap cards had to come out before we even left the airport. I created a pocket notebook for my roomie and LovenStampfuls group gifts, and I wanted to share it with you. (So if you haven’t gotten your gift yet, you’ll have to decide if you want to look yet or not
)
This little notebook is about 4″ tall — I know, because I had to cut the paper to match. LOVE the paper? It’s the upcoming Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (coming soon as a Sale-A-Bration gift item – 127540).
I actually used a ton of new products on this project — from the Spring Catalog (browse online) and the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure (watch for it, January 22nd!).
- For the mini banner at the top: Hearts A Flutter stamp set & Framelits Bundle (see it online – 131097)
- To embellish the mini banner: Natural Trim Ribbon (see it online – 129287) and the Jumbo Rhinestones (see it online – 129324)
- For the message: Feel Goods stamp set (see it online – 129684)
- As the embellishment at the bottom: Designer Builder Brads (see it online – 129329) and I stamped the circle in the center with the teeny lips from the Itty Bitties stamp set (see it online - 128939)
I’m loving all the new goodies! I look forward to sharing more updates from the Leadership Conference with you all this week. Keep an eye out!

Anyone for a Cup of Iced Tea Shoppe?
Only 3 days left to get the Make A Cake bonus ($48 value!) with the new $99 Demonstrator Starter Kit! (learn more) (or sign up now!)
One of my favorite things about being a demonstrator is the chance to attend Convention each year in July (it’s coming soon!), Leadership Conference in January and other fun events throughout the year. We get so many great ideas and the excitement over stamping is contagious!
Speaking of which, if you’d like to learn more about being a demonstrator and you’re here in central Illinois, be sure to join me tomorrow evening in Champaign for our monthly Demonstrator Event. Let me know if you’d like to attend as my guest and I can send you details!
This card was shared at Leadership in January, and the Tea Shoppe stamp set (see it online) was one I received for free during the Founder’s Circle Retreat last fall.
I love the idea though — very clever to cut a slit in the top of the Note Card so that the tea bag fits “inside” the cup! All the stamps on this card (including the frame for the Modern Label Punch) are part of the Tea Shoppe stamp set.
The Adorning Accents Edgelits (see them online) used at the bottom of the card are the perfect quick accent.

Leadership 2012: San Antonio
Whew! I feel like I blinked and the days flew past in San Antonio. Whirlwinds of stamping creativity, business ideas and the opportunity to visit with friends all made for a very busy couple of days. But I wanted to share some of my favorite moments — and of course, some fabulous stamping inspiration!
The 2nd day of Leadership started out with a general session where we all met together in the main theater. We were expecting the “state of Stampin’ Up!” report from Scott Nielsen, the CFO of Stampin’ Up!. But instead of a boring stream of numbers, Scott showed up on stage and changed his sweater and shoes, all while singing a Stampin’ Up! version of the Mister Rodger’s Neighborhood theme song! TOO funny! But yes, Scott can definitely sing. So not only was his presentation fun, but he also had a visit from the Speedy Delivery man (a la Spencer Willis), delivering the My Digital Studio album that Scott had created with the achievements he wanted to share from this past year. Way to go, Scott!
After visiting Mister Neilsen’s Neighborhood, we had a business class (we get to choose which ones we want to take) then our Advisory Board Reunion Luncheon. Stampin’ Up! treated us to lunch at the Little Rhein Steakhouse, for a fabulous meal. There was even a treat for us at the tables — a package of upcoming Designer Series Paper! I can’t share the paper on my blog, but check out the gorgeous wrapping!

After lunch we had more classes, then a final session. Our excitement reached the roof when my friend Mary Ellen Stites (fellow LovenStampfuls demonstrator) was picked for a Backstage Pass for the final session. Mary Ellen got the ‘behind the scenes’ tour, met with Shelli and the other Stampin’ Up! celebrities, and watched the show from behind the curtains. Talk about a front row seat! As if that all wasn’t enough, she got extra free stamps, too!
The
theme of the whole Leadership Conference this year has been “my way”, since Stampin’ Up! encourages us to take our demonstrator opportunity and put it together ‘our way’. The executive team presentations followed the same ‘my way’ theme, and Chad Richards, CTO (tech guy) at Stampin’ Up!, shared his love of anything with a motor. Yup, he drove that Harley Davidson motorcycle right out on stage!
Of course demonstrators know what we like best… FREE stamps! There was no shortage of great giveaways during Leadership this year, both drawings for special winners, as well as giveaways for everyone. We even got a special package with the NEW Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set Fresh Vintage and the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.
Remember that the Sale-A-Bration special begins TOMORROW, January 24th! Eek, I can hardly contain my excitement… stay tuned for details tomorrow and a peek at the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog, but the short story is that for every $50 you order, you get a free Sale-A-Bration gift… stamp set, Designer Paper, embellishments, etc. AND there will also be a special on the Demonstrator Starter Kit… $50 off, PLUS free Designer Series Paper for you, all year long. Like I said…it’s exciting stuff! Be sure to visit me online tomorrow for details!
Through the whole two days at Leadership (plus a day of registration!), great stamping ideas were shared. Here are some projects that were displayed with our Make N Take supplies — Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit (see it online), along with the Mixed Bunch stamp set (see it online).
And a few more… I loved the way they were displayed by clipping with clothespins to a rope.
Every Stampin’ Up! event… Leadership in January, Convention in July, Regionals throughout the year, incentive trips in the Spring …they are all done to the ‘nth’ degree and give us the chance to be inspired and motivated as demonstrators. So a huge THANK YOU goes out to Stampin’ Up! for taking such good care of us. Can’t wait for the next ‘big’ event!
Happy Stamping!

Who Wants to Do a Happy Dance?
Honestly, everyone here at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference wants to be doing the Happy Dance! Here’s a link, in case you want to see the one on stage after the latest new product announcement (check it out!). Yup, we’re so happy, we get to dance.
Even more reasons to dance — here’s Betsy, my friend (and fellow LovenStampfuls Demonstrator) walking across the stage to be recognized for her promotion to Manager this year.
More reasons to do a happy dance? How about the sweet Valentine treats that Sara Douglass shared on stage? I love these with the topper using the Labels Collection Framelits (see them online).
Yet another Happy Dance reason…”real” lunches (no boxes) and CHEESECAKE for lunch at Leadership. Yes, I will admit that the cheesecake is the most exciting part.
And I will always be doing a Happy Dance over cute My Digital Studio projects. Can you imagine making this little Swatchbook for a grandparent gift?
One more Happy Dance… the classes and ideas shared here have been fabulous. I can hardly wait to get home and stamp to share!
Happy Stamping!

Y’all Grab Your Boots and Head On Down!
Hello from San Antonio, Texas for the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference! Although we haven’t seen too many pairs of cowboy boots or heard too many Texas accents, we are thoroughly enjoying our visit to San Antonio.
Here are a few highlights of our Registration Day… First picture is of the Make N Take session tables when we first walked in. Yes, we get to stamp projects at Stampin’ Up! events, too!!
And not only that…there were GIFTS waiting for us at the tables! The portfolios match our fun tote bags. Each of these was signed by Shelli Gardner (thanks Shelli!):
The Make N Take projects were fabulous. We all agreed that they looked even more beautiful in person than they did in the photos. There were actually NINE projects included in our Make N Take packets — more than enough to keep us busy stamping for 2.5 hours.
Here are some LovenStampfuls Demonstrators (Mary Ellen, Faye and Betsy) and some of our demonstrator friends pausing for a scrapbook photo moment
And here are two more of the Make N Take samples.
The projects featured the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (we got a whole package in our kits!) and the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit (see it online), along with the Mixed Bunch stamp set (see it online). There were even some extra samples shared for more ideas. Here’s one of my favs:
After Make n Takes, we picked up some coffee (gotta keep the energy up for all that stamping!) and headed to the Manager’s Reception for some fabulous hors d’oeuvres and Shirley Temples with cute little umbrellas. Here are a few of the Managers from our group: Betsy Crider, Mary Ellen Stites, Dixie Finn & myself.
Leadership is a great chance to meet and talk with many of the Stampin’ Up! corporate staff, since the venue is a little bit more intimate than the huge Stampin’ Up! Convention held during July each year. Here’s Betsy with Rich Jutkins, the president of Stampin’ Up.
After snacks, Stampin’ Up! treated us to a fabulous Chinese acrobat show. Wow, those were some talented artists. There were jugglers, gymnasts, and more. It made my stomach muscles hurt in sympathy to see some of their stunts! They were really impressive though, and we all enjoyed the show.
And of course afterwards, what’s more fun than FREE stamps?! Each of us received a stamp set that will appear in the Summer Mini Catalog (due out in April). Here’s Mary Ellen — doesn’t she look excited to have her set? Thanks Laura!
All in all, a fun, busy, full day! And that was just Registration! We still have two full days of conference to go, so I probably should get at least a little bit of sleep. I’ll look forward to sharing more with you tomorrow!
Happy Stamping!
