Perfectly Preserved Treat Bags: jars of love
Yesterday I shared a Perfectly Preserved project that didn’t use the jar (see the full stamp set). Today’s project uses the jar – and the sweet little pear! All the pieces cut out here are from the matching Cannery Set Framelits (see them online – 127822), except the little banner. I love that it’s so easy to make perfect layers with the pieces!
These little gift bags are about 4″ x 4″ on the front — perfect size for a little 1/2 pint jar or a bunch of cookies. The nice thing about little bags is that you can put little gifts in them! Little treats that would make someone’s day. Can you imagine getting this from a friend for no special reason at all?
Here are the quick steps for this project:
- Cut down a paper lunch bag of your choice (a 4×8″ bag here, cut to 4 x 4″).
- Cut Designer Series Paper to layer on the bag front – either covering the entire bag front or leaving the bag edges showing. (Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper is a happy match with kraft lunch sacks – see it online – 126895)
- Decorate as desired & fill with treats!
Don’t forget that when you order $40 from my online store in September, you get a roll of the Stitched Satin Ribbon for free! You can pick the Raspberry Ripple that I used above (perfect with Orchard Harvest DSP) or you can pick any of the other 2012-2014 In Colors!
Want to see MORE IDEAS with the Stitched Satin Ribbon? Here are a bunch on my blog – if you order $80, you’d get 2 rolls free. Or $200 and get all 5 colors.

Primrose Pink Peacocks: World Treasures
The other day I posted a card featuring the World Treasures stamp set (see it online) (check out the card). Today’s project has more of a monochromatic feel. Actually, I love monochromatic projects. Sometimes limiting the color choices can really make the elements of the design or the message of the sentiment pop out of the card. (Check out some other monochromatic projects from my blog.) Monochromatic doesn’t have to mean only black & white — any color will do the job.
The Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Pink colors in this card are both from the new In Color Collection (see it online), and they’re a great combination together.
Other supplies on this card? I used the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (also new — see it) and the Apothecary Accents Framelits (see them online) and the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die (see it online).

World Treasures: Pretty as a peacock
As a demonstrator, I often participate in idea swaps where I stamp 20 or so of the same card idea, then trade them with 20 other demonstrators so that I end up with 20 new ideas. It’s just one of the things I love about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator — sharing ideas (see other reasons I love it).
This card is one I created for a demonstrator swap before the new catalog came out. The stamp set is World Treasures (see it online) and I love the sentiment almost as much as I love the peacock! World Treasures is from the International Bizaar Product Suite (see it online) and the DSP in this suite is was featured by Stampin’ Up! on our Disney Incentive Trip pillow gifts!
I’m also loving the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (also new — see it) and the Apothecary Accents Framelits (see them online) which are a perfect match for the shape of the sentiment in this stamp set. Gotta love Stampin’ Up! and the coordinating products!!
The colors here are new In Colors — Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Primrose Pink. Yup, same colors that I used yesterday for my Make A Cake birthday tag.
And a nice way to highlight a certain part of a larger stamp — try the Spotlighting Technique. Use a Circle Punch and punch out another image in a different color, then match it up to your main image. (see other examples of the technique from my blog)
Happy Stamping!

Betsy’s Blossoms: NEW In Color Combos
Are you excited for the NEW In Colors? I have to say that I am LOVING these! I’ll let you in on a secret… pretty much every year I start out just a little bit skeptical about the new colors. But this year I’m completely hooked! Not only are these colors a great fit for the Stampin’ Up! Color Collections, but they’re also fabulous together!

Here’s a card that I based on one in the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator magazine — Stampin’ Success. Yup, it’s true. As a demonstrator you do NOT need to invent the wheel every time! You can use the great resources that are available to us.
And did you see the Demonstrator Special in June?! Whew! A $48 bonus is a great reason to join my stamping family! Plus there are lots of great reasons to become a demonstrator — from supporting your hobby to purchasing at a discount!
Do you have at least $125 on your Wish List for the new catalog? Did you realize you can put ANYTHING you want into your Starter Kit and get it for $99? Don’t miss the details!
Okay, back to the card…
If you want to create this card at home on your own, here are the NEW supplies that you’ll need:
- Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set (see it online) — 126006 (clear) or 126004 (wood)
- In Color Card Stock 2012-2014 (see it online) — 126838
- Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (see it online) — 127751
- Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (see it online) — 126257 (clear) or 126255 (wood)
- Bitty Banners Framelits (see them online) — 129267
- NEW Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Pad (see it online) — 126980
- Plus the following supplies you may already have: Big Shot, Whisper White Card Stock, Basic Gray Card Stock, 1″ Circle Punch, Postage Stamp Punch
If there is only 1 thing you purchase from this list, I’d make it the Basic Black Classic Pad. No kidding! I am in love with these new pads (learn more about them). I haven’t quite made up my mind to replace all my ink pads, but I’m getting closer every time I pull out one of my older pads!
And if you’re thinking that the In Colors would be fun, and you love Betsy’s Blossoms as much as me, be sure to check out my Stamps in the Mail Club for June — you’ll get both the stamp set and the new Basic Black ink pad, and in the July kit you’ll get the new In Color Markers!
Or consider ordering these items as part of your very own Demonstrator Starter Kit! (email me with any questions)
