Betsy’s Blossoms: NEW In Color Combos
Are you excited for the NEW In Colors? I have to say that I am LOVING these! I’ll let you in on a secret… pretty much every year I start out just a little bit skeptical about the new colors. But this year I’m completely hooked! Not only are these colors a great fit for the Stampin’ Up! Color Collections, but they’re also fabulous together!

Here’s a card that I based on one in the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator magazine — Stampin’ Success. Yup, it’s true. As a demonstrator you do NOT need to invent the wheel every time! You can use the great resources that are available to us.
And did you see the Demonstrator Special in June?! Whew! A $48 bonus is a great reason to join my stamping family! Plus there are lots of great reasons to become a demonstrator — from supporting your hobby to purchasing at a discount!
Do you have at least $125 on your Wish List for the new catalog? Did you realize you can put ANYTHING you want into your Starter Kit and get it for $99? Don’t miss the details!
Okay, back to the card…
If you want to create this card at home on your own, here are the NEW supplies that you’ll need:
- Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set (see it online) — 126006 (clear) or 126004 (wood)
- In Color Card Stock 2012-2014 (see it online) — 126838
- Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (see it online) — 127751
- Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (see it online) — 126257 (clear) or 126255 (wood)
- Bitty Banners Framelits (see them online) — 129267
- NEW Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Pad (see it online) — 126980
- Plus the following supplies you may already have: Big Shot, Whisper White Card Stock, Basic Gray Card Stock, 1″ Circle Punch, Postage Stamp Punch
If there is only 1 thing you purchase from this list, I’d make it the Basic Black Classic Pad. No kidding! I am in love with these new pads (learn more about them). I haven’t quite made up my mind to replace all my ink pads, but I’m getting closer every time I pull out one of my older pads!
And if you’re thinking that the In Colors would be fun, and you love Betsy’s Blossoms as much as me, be sure to check out my Stamps in the Mail Club for June — you’ll get both the stamp set and the new Basic Black ink pad, and in the July kit you’ll get the new In Color Markers!
Or consider ordering these items as part of your very own Demonstrator Starter Kit! (email me with any questions)
Happy Stamping!

This card is based on the Note Cards & Envelopes (see them online) which come 20 to a pack, for only $5.95 (pretty nice, plus they’re convenient to have on hand). I made a couple of layers and scalloped the bottoms to add some interest. The words are stamped and colored with the matching Stampin’ Write Markers.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- 123002 In Color Markers 2011-2013 $14.95
- 122940 In Color Printed Brads $7.95
- 124329 In Color Assorted Card Stock 2011-2013 $6.95

- 107311 Note Cards & Envelopes (20) $5.95
And guess what? The total of bundle before shipping and tax = $51.75, which means you get to pick out a stamp set for free (like the Outlined Occasions set!) with your order, as long as you order before the end of the day on March 31st.
And even more convenient, when you order this from me, I’ll send you a pdf tutorial with directions and cutting sizes to make 4 different cards with this same set of supplies!

Patchwork Paper Quilts: Everyday Enchantment
Are you hoarding the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper yet? There are only 2 weeks left to add this paper to your collection before Sale-A-Bration runs out! When you have only a few 1/2″ strips left for this paper (or any other paper you love), here is a great project for making the most of them – Patchwork Paper Quilts with the Big Shot Adhesive Sheets (see them online)!
Are you coming to Stamp Club with Meg today? You’ll be making this card as one of your projects. If you can’t make it, here is the ‘how to’ on the Patchwork Technique:
Cut a piece of neutral card stock to the final size of your patchwork piece.- Press onto a piece of Big Shot Adhesive Sheet. Remove backing paper and place adhesive-side up on your table.
- Begin with a ½” strip of Designer Series Paper across the center.
- Add strips of paper at right angles, repeating your pattern as desired.
- Trim ends and adhere to project.
Looking for more Everyday Enchantment paper projects? Here are a few on my blog! This paper is from the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog – download it now – and can be selected for free with a $50 order until March 31.

Everyday Enchantment: Sweet Memories
Do you have favorite photos that are just screaming to be featured on a scrapbook page? While I applaud scrappers who can ‘keep up’ with their family photos, that’s just not going to be me. Instead, my scrapbook strategy is to enjoy the time I have to scrapbook by picking and choosing my favorite photos. I don’t worry about whether I’ve finished a baby book before I go on to a picture from last month.
For me, I find it’s a much more enjoyable (aka less stressful) way to catalog our family memories. Here’s a page that I put together last month for Vickie’s Workshop, using the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and the Fresh Vintage stamp set (both from the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog – download it now – and can be selected for free with a $50 order until March 31).
Look familiar? It should! The layout is the same as the My Digital Studio page I shared yesterday — the one I patterned after a layout in the Stampin’ Up! catalog.
Still trying to decide which Sale-A-Bration stamp sets and selections you want to earn for free before March 31st? Here are some of the projects I’ve shared on my blog:
- Fresh Vintage stamp set
- Triple Treat Flower stamp
- Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
- Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brads Bundle
- Elementary Elegance stamp set
- Sprinkled Expressions stamp set
- Outlined Occasions stamp set

Mask Technique for Punches
Ever try to punch in a specific part of a card, only to find that the punch has moved or you didn’t center the punch as you expected? Here is a GREAT punching trick that will help you line up your punches every time. It’s a great technique for projects like this, where you need your Blossom Punch shape right in the center of each note card layer.
This little note card set and matching Fancy Favor Die gift box are one of the 4 projects from my current Stamps in the Mail Club round! (learn more)
I am in love with these colors! They remind me of rainbow sherbet, which is my absolute favorite Baskin Robbins flavor…oh, and Daiquiri Ice, YUM. Until it’s available this summer, I’ll content myself with stamping in Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Peach Parfait.
- Punch a piece of sticky note so the punched shape includes a sticky edge
- Place this mask over the paper, positioning where you’d like the final hole
- Punch directly over the mask, lining punch with shape. VOILA!
Stamps: You’re My Type, Mixed Bunch;
Ink: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait;
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait, Chocolate Chip, Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration!);
Accessories: Blossom Punch, 3/4″ Circle Punch, 1/2″ Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Chocolate Chip Scalloped Polka Dot Ribbon, Fancy Favor Die, Big Shot

Carrots for the Easter Bunny: Petal Cone Die
Need a fun treat for Easter events or just for fun? Here’s one that uses the versatile Petal Cone Die (see it online) to make a carrot treat box fit for the Easter bunny.
The project is a bit updated from the one I posted last year (see it here). This one uses only 3 panels of the Petal Cone die cut, instead of 4. And the texture on the carrots is added with the Lots of Love Letterpress Plate (see it online).
Tips for using Letterpress Plates:
- Ink the plate with Versamark Ink for a highlighted shadow effect
- Instead of a regular cutting plate, use the Premium Crease Pad (see it online) when you put your plates through the Big Shot. You’ll get a deeper impression.
- Want to see a video tutorial on it? Here’s one that I did for another Petal Cone project (watch it here)
Like the tag from this project? It’s created with the Elementary Elegance stamp set, which you can select for free when you order $50 from me during Sale-A-Bration (learn more!).
Recognize the shape of the Island Indigo banner behind the Curly Punch piece in the tag? It’s the banner strip from the Petal Cone Die! With this project, you’ll use all 3 pieces of the Petal Cone die cut — the big triangle, the scallop half circle and the banner piece.
Lastly — I created this project for one of my workshop hostesses last week! if you’d like to get friends together, too, and have a fun crafty evening, be sure to send me an email! There are a few dates left in my March calendar, and I’d love to share some ideas with you, too.

If Stamping is Fun, then Stamping with Chocolate is BETTER
When I go to someone’s home for a Stampin’ Up! party, I often plan two projects to share — a quick & easy card, and a project using chocolate. Because stamping is fun, but stamping with CHOCOLATE is better! I have a number of “candy projects” in past blog posts, and here is another, using the Two Tags Die for the Big Shot. (see it online)
The larger of the tags on the Two Tags Die is just about perfect for wrapping a small Hershey’s bar. This project could hardly be simpler:
- Cut the large tag in the Two Tags Die from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (it’s one of the free Sale-A-Bration selections)
- Add candy in the center (I like to hold mine in the center with a Stampin’ Dimensional) and wrap with ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack (also one of the Sale-A-Bration selections)
- Heat emboss and punch the postage stamp from the Fresh Vintage stamp set (Sale-A-Bration selection) using the Postage Stamp Punch
- Layer with Poppy Parade card stock & give to a friend!
Even more fun, these little treats can be adapted for pretty much any occasion. Here’s a fun idea that I used for Valentine’s Day. We made 50 of these as favors for the Senior Bingo Party at our local library!
Yup — the Occasions Alphabet (see it online) that I used here is a terrific one to have on hand for all kinds of occasions, all year long.

Scallop Square Note Cards: add an envelope
The other day when I posted my Scallop Square Note Card, I received an email from my friend and fellow LovenStampfuls Demonstrator Carol Jones. She inspired me with her project and I decided to make a few envelopes, too! Here’s a smaller version of my Scallop Square Note Card, created using the Scallop Square Duo Die (see it online). The finished card is about 3 x 3″.
Having trouble deciding which Sale-A-Bration items to pick for free? Sorry, my post here isn’t going to make it any easier! I used several of the Sale-A-Bration selections:
- Elementary Elegance stamp set – great frame, which matches the Curly Label Punch and includes “Happy Birthday” and “Hello” words that fit the style & size
- Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper – gorgeous colors that match the Ribbon & Brad Bundle, of course
- Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Bundle – includes 2 rolls of the 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon (Lucky Limeade & Calypso Coral) as well as a pack of assorted brads to match
Need all three choices? Just place an order that comes to $150 before shipping/tax, and you’ll earn all 3! Plus you’d earn Hostess Benefits (called “Stampin’ Rewards” for online ordering), which means you’d get another $25 to spend for free. And you’d earn 3 Idea & Inspiration Sheets from me!
Happy Stamping!
