  • They’re entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don’t worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They’re age tested. They won’t yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we’ll let you try them for yourself.

They are clearly a great choice.

Window Framelits Buckle Card: Video Tutorial

Do you love unique folds?  This is a great card for you to try!  With the Window Frames Collection Framelits (see them online) and your Big Shot (see it online) this card is a snap.

Here are the directions:

  1. Stamp and use a Window Framelit to cut out your main image.
  2. Use the SAME size framelit to cut a hole in a contrasting piece of cardstock.
  3. Use the next size larger to cut around the hole, creating a ¼” frame piece.
  4. Score your card to open in the center, then attach the main image piece to the left flap.
  5. Close card and attach ¼” frame around main image, but adhere ONLY on right flap.

Other supplies for this card:

  • Just Thinking stamp (see it online – 129940)
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (see it online – 110755)
  • Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (SAB – free item – #127540)
  • Sycamore Street Ribbons & Button Pack (SAB – free item – #130812)

Or would you rather watch a Video Tutorial?

Here’s one that I created for the same card, but using different Designer Series Paper — the More Amore Designer Series Paper (see the paper online – 129309).

Make Your Own Family Valentine Banner

What says “love” more than family? I created a fun and simple banner using My Digital Studio 2 (learn more about it) and the Valentine Love Ensemble Download (see it now) from Stampin’ Up!.

The basic design work is already done for you with this sweet template.  It’s simple to add a few extra panels, photos of your family or friends, embellish with digital embellishments, then print at home!  Cut out, add a ribbon, and you’re set for a quick and fun memory project that will brighten your home!

Want to learn the details of the ‘how to’ on this project?  Good news!  I have an MDS with Meg Tutorial for you!

There are 3 lessons for this banner — you may find that you only need a few minutes of the first one if you’re an MDS user already.  If you’re new to MDS, you’ll probably like the detail in all the lessons.

(getting this feed via email? you’ll need to click to visit my blog to get the videos)

Looking for more tips?  Check out my other MDS with Meg Tutorials!

Dude, You’re Welcome: A Kit for Guys & Guy Cards

They’re here! Cards for Guys!

I think one of the most frequent requests for inspiration from stampers is ideas for masculine cards — ones you can send to the guys in your life.  Well the good news is that Stampin’ Up! now carries the perfect solution for you… The new Dude, You’re Welcome Kit (see it online – 132807).

Want to see it in action?  Here’s a demonstration… guy-style.

Love it? Here’s the skinny:

Guys don’t always have the easiest time expressing themselves, but with the Dude, You’re Welcome! kit, they’ll have

  • Four wood-mount stamps (double-mounted) with the perfect sentiment for every occasion
  • Twelve 4″ x 6″ postcards in four different (manly) colors
  • Twelve gray envelopes
  • A Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • An instructional guide (for the most novice stamper!)

Basically, the kit includes everything a dude needs to create the perfect manly card that any woman would adore, all packaged in an appropriately masculine box.

Item Description Price
132807 Dude, You’re Welcome! Kit $24.95

Visit my Online Store to learn more about this exciting new kit, then contact your male customers (or their wives) and let them know the answer to their “I forgot my wife’s birthday!” dilemma is here!

Or you can use the kit contents to stamp your own cards for guys — feel free to embellish just a little bit extra. You know you can’t help it!  Or here are a variety of guy-friendly projects from my blog.

Gift Bag Video Tutorial: Last Minute Ideas for Christmas

Are you getting close to “done” with your Christmas prep?  Here’s a last-minute Video Minute with Meg that will give you a fun way to turn your extra Christmas cards into gift bag toppers.

Here’s all you’ll need:

  • Christmas card
  • Gift bag (or paper lunch sack)
  • Ribbon of your choice (bonus points if it matches your card!)
  • Hole punch (I used the Little Labels Punch Pack for extra flair – see it online)

And of course, you don’t need to limit yourself to only Christmas!  This last-minute minute also works for birthday gifts, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc.

Curious about the card itself?  Here’s the original project with details and supply lists on my blog.

Or looking for more packaging ideas?  I am a huge fan of gift bags & boxes!  Here are more ‘boxes & bags’ ideas from my blog.

Meg’s MDS Minute: How to Color Your Stamps

Last evening was my monthly Laptops & Lattes class, and we created a fun card using My Digital Studio 2 (check out the free 30-day trial).  When I teach an MDS Class, my favorite method is to start with a pre-made card and re-create it in MDS.  That way we can focus on using the program, rather than have to think about the ‘art’ at the same time.

So this month’s card came from my basket of swaps, and it was created in ‘real’ card stock by my friend Jill Hilliard.  She used the Up, Up & Away stamp set, but we modified it a bit to feature the digital Adventure Awaits stamp set that is included with MDS2.

The balloons are colored with two different colors — it’s a new feature of MDS2!  If you have MDS and want to try an update, you can download a free 30 day trial of MDS2 and decide if you’d like to upgrade your program.  I have a list of your options on my blog here.

Here’s a video tutorial on coloring your digital stamps:

The inside of the card has both panels colored – you can see how that will look in the ‘check project’ tool.

You can check out some of the past MDS projects on my blog.  And even with the fun new features, you’ll be able to continue using my step-by-step MDS Tutorials (free on my blog!), both Video and PDF.

Three Step Leaves: A Video Tutorial

I keep finding these random leaves around my craft room – and they make me smile every time! The Wonderfall stamp set (see it online) and the coordinating Autumn Accents Bigz Die (see it online) are too much fun together!

The project and step-by-step directions were posted this week on my blog — but sometimes it’s nice to see the process in action!

Here’s a Video Tutorial that will teach you how to make these at home:

Ghoulish Googlies Video Tutorial: Scallop Circle Frames

Want a quick tip for making scallop circle frames with your punches?  It’s really tricky to punch a scallop circle and then try to get a hole in the center.  Instead, use this little tip (no trick, just treat!) to make perfect frames, every time.

Frame Supplies from Stampin’ Up!:

Other supplies and directions for the project are on my blog post from yesterday (check them out).

Video Tutorial: Scallop Square Lollipop Treats

I love my Scallop Square Die (see it online - 115950). It’s one of my most-used Big Shot dies (see what I mean?).  Last week I posted a project using the Reason to Smile stamp set, and I wanted to share a Video Tutorial on how to make the sweet lollipop treat.

The treat uses several fabulous products, and if you like to print your directions to save at home, here’s a photo of the ‘guts’ of this little sweet treat:

Just grab your favorite color card stock and coordinating Designer Series Paper, and you’re all set!  Love the paper in the background on my photos?  It’s from the Patio Party Designer Series Paper (see it online – 126916) and I love it, too!

Here’s the Video Tutorial:

If you’re looking for some other video lessons, you can see more of them on my blog here.

Or more candy project ideas?  They make great favors for showers or your next party (see some ideas)

Loads of Love: Slider Cards

Ever think about how cute it would be if the little pick-up truck from the Loads of Love stamp set would move? It can!  Here’s a fun card that features the Word Window Punch to make a track for the truck to “drive”.

Sad to say, this sweet stamp set is soon to drive away, too!  I’ll miss this stamp set after it retires on May 31st! (see it online)

I designed this card four years ago, along with a matching Video Tutorial. Since the set includes greetings for birthday, christmas, etc, it’s a great one to have on hand, even 4 years later.  This stamp set EXTRA flexible, especially with the Loads of Love Accessories, which are also retiring (see them online)!

I think if I were making this card again now, I’d put a Christmas tree in the truck bed… or maybe a pile of presents from the Accessories set and call it a birthday card.  Too cute!  This is a total guy card, or a great kid card, too.

We’re going to be saying goodbye to these stamp sets on May 31st (learn about the retiring stamp sets & how to get the new catalog for free)
