Stampin Techniques 201: Faux Watercolor

For All Things Faux Watercolor by LovenStamps with Video Tutorial

Sometimes it’s fun to bend the rules a bit and try something a little bit different. Smeary images? Oh yes! Let’s try it and call it a technique… how about Faux Watercolor? Trust me. You’re going to like it! (And we’re not talking about eating your vegetables here, as in, “You’re going to LIKE it!”)

I’m using the For All Things stamp set (135155) from the Holiday Catalog (browse online). This stamp set is also the one that you’ll get with my September Stamps in the Mail Club kit. Never fear, it’s not too late to get your own kit and make these projects at home. Just drop me a note if you’d like one, or check the details on my website: Stamps in the Mail Club.

The Faux Watercolor Technique is simple:

  1. Stamp on Watercolor Paper
  2. Spray with water
  3. Allow to dry

That’s about it! There are definitely a few tips though – and you can see ’em in action in my video tutorial below!

This is one of the 4 projects from my September Stamps in the Mail Club Kit. So if you’d like to make this card at home (plus 3 other fun projects), then be sure to fill out the web form here. I’ll send you a PayPal invoice and your stamps, ink and projects kit will be on their way to your doorstep!

I’d love to stamp with you by mail!

Happy Stamping!
